    JOB SUMMARY:

    OWC is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic IT Helpdesk Intern to join our Information Technology team! The ideal candidate will have good technical knowledge and will take pride in providing support and guidance to OWC staff with an attitude of outstanding customer service in every interaction. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is capable of multitasking and understands priorities to maximize performance. You will be a key member of the Information Technology team.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •       None

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •       Assist the Helpdesk Team in responding to support requests submitted by end-users during

    •       scheduled periods.

    •       Follow appropriate team responses, escalating requests if necessary to Helpdesk Technicians or

    •       Systems Administrators.

    •       Assist in accurately recording and updating over 3,000+ assets across multiple locations by such

    •       categories as: asset number, serial number, specifications, employee, and department.

    •       Provide client level support to our end-users in a mixed Mac OS and Windows 10 environment.

    •       Perform basic computer preventive maintenance checks and perform standard repair or upgrade

    •       procedures as detailed by Helpdesk Technicians or Systems Administrators.

    •       Assist end-users by providing general Mac and Windows operating system support and some general

    •       Office applications support.

    •       Assist in the end-user support of general business phone system equipment and Teams apps.

    •       Communicate via voice, chat and email for multiple remote locations and users.

    •       Special projects as assigned by leadership.

    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    •       1-2 years’ experience working with Mac OS and Windows 10 applications.

    •       Intermediate-level knowledge of Office applications.

    •       Exceptional "customer service mentality" and attitude.

    •       Must have experience in setting up printers, computers, and cable management.

    •       Exhibit excellent organization and communication skills.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    •       Interest or current progress towards an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences.
