    Job Description

    JOB TITLE: Economic Policy Intern (Policy Shop)

    REPORTS TO: Economic Policy Team Lead

    JOB DESCRIPTION: Our National Conversation is building a non-partisan solution platform for American policy issues. The Economic Policy Intern contributes to ONC’s mission of providing non-partisan news, opinions, and policy solutions by analyzing public policy issues and forming solutions that include liberal, moderate, and conservative perspectives. As a member of the Economic Policy team, you would be tasked with researching and summarizing hot-button issues relating to the economy, designing policies to improve our nation’s economy, determining the economic feasibility of policy measures, helping write a chapter for our new book, and interviewing with experts. You may be tasked with other projects as needed. If you have a specific policy area of interest, check our other listings.

    This position is primarily aimed towards students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Economics, Public Policy, International Political Economy, or a related field. Experience in Mathematics, Statistics, or writing is also a plus. This position is remote, with work primarily conducted over Zoom and Slack, so applicants must be comfortable coordinating in a remote environment and are expected to maintain a high level of communication. The duration of this internship can be as short as a semester or as long as a year or more depending on their performance. Many people choose to extend their internship past the amount of time they initially committed to. Preferably, this intern will commit to at least the end of the Fall semester (December 16th, 2022).

    COMPENSATION: This is not a paid position.
