    Job Description

JOB TITLE: Science, Environment, and Technology Policy Intern (Policy Shop)

REPORTS TO: Science, Environment, and Technology Policy Team Lead

JOB DESCRIPTION: Our National Conversation is building a non-partisan solution platform for American policy issues. The Science, Environment, and Technology Policy Intern contributes to ONC’s mission of providing non-partisan news, opinions, and policy solutions by analyzing public policy issues and forming solutions that include liberal, moderate, and conservative perspectives. The Science, Environment, and Technology team overlaps with many other policy fields, making it the perfect home for the analytical, macro-minded candidate. As a member of the Science, Environment, and Technology Policy team, you would be tasked with researching and summarizing hot-button issues, crafting opinion and solution pieces, assisting with chapters for our new book, and interviewing with experts. You may be tasked with other projects as needed. Additionally, interns are expected to attend weekly meetings. If you have a specific policy area of interest, check our other listings.

This position is remote, with work primarily conducted over Zoom, Google Suite, and Slack, so applicants must be comfortable coordinating in a remote environment and are expected to maintain a high level of communication. The duration of this internship can be as short as a semester or as long as a year or more depending on their performance. Many people choose to extend their internship past the amount of time they initially committed to. Preferably, this intern will commit to at least the end of the Summer semester (December 16th, 2022).
