JOB DESCRIPTION:
The DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER is responsible for the leadership, management, and execution of Our Saviour Center’s development and communications program. THIS IS A ONE-PERSON DEPARTMENT. Reporting to and working directly with the Executive Director, the DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER will play a vital role in creating and implementing development programs to generate unrestricted funding for an entrepreneurial, mission driven Our Saviour Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Annual Giving Duties (75% of duties):
Responsible for the creation, management, and implementation of OSC’s development program (direct mail, in-kind donations, workplace giving, and online giving) that will produce unrestricted funding to OSC.
Work closely with (2) Board of Director Subcommittees: Development and Marketing /Communications to achieve organizational goals.
Create all external content and collateral for the Development department, including but not limited to appeals, newsletters, social media, website, and invitations.
Create and execute all donor follow-up and recognition, including input into donor management system, Network for Good.
Research individual donor and prospect information.
Develop strategies for new donor acquisition and growth.
Event(s) Duties (20% of duties):
Create and execute a Virtual Fundraising Event.
Lead Board members and volunteers in event planning and solicitation of auction items.
Develop and meet event revenue goals for existing and new events, manage event expense budgets utilizing metrics and data.
Other duties (5% of duties):
· Prepare data for Executive Director and Board, to share ongoing results as related to metrics for fiscal year.
· Maintain all relevant data in Network for Good database include donor meetings, correspondences, actions, etc.

Our Saviour Center provides life-sustaining programs to low-income and very low-income residents of the San Gabriel Valley and works with individuals and families to find solutions to overcome the challenges of poverty, hunger, and homelessness. With the support of public, private and individual donors, our programs help clients of all ages achieve greater stability, self-sufficiency, dignity and an improved quality of life. Two of our four services remain operational during Covid-19 and in 2020, Our Saviour Center provided services to over 130,000 duplicated individuals.
