Production Lead Position / Full-Time

Outcast Concrete Products is seeking a full-time Production Lead. The Production Lead is responsible for training and supervising all production personnel in our daily operations and production requirements. The Production Lead (PL) is responsible for ensuring all personnel are working in a safe and productive manner consistent with the Company’s policies and procedures. The PL is responsible for ensuring all products are manufactured per drawing specifications to the highest quality and maintaining the production schedule in coordination with our production schedule and delivery dates to customers.

Essential Duties include:

· Supervise all shop personnel, production workflow and customer delivery schedules.

· Responsible for ensuring all personnel is following all safety protocols per Company policy.

· Must be proficient in all aspects of precast concrete production and training new employees.

· Interpret basic drawings, including plans to ensure products are made to the highest standards.

· Ensure all personnel are applying proper techniques that comply with proper quality control procedures.

· Report to maintenance and safety coordinator any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions or required equipment maintenance.

· Ensure the work effort is being applied effectively and the company quality standards and production capacities for the shift are met per the daily schedule.

· Provide feedback to the Production Manager regarding performance of all department personnel.

· Ensure all personnel are following Company time keeping policies, complete verbal and written disciplinary warnings/counseling in accordance with the Company policy and procedures.

· Complete production reports at the end of every shift, including work performed by department, back orders, items that need to be expedited.

· Allocate shift personnel to various areas of production floor to ensure all scheduled jobs are completed and production is running as efficiently as possible.

· Must have knowledge of all PPE requirements and ensure all personnel are in compliance at all times.

· Demonstrate safe and effective use of hand tools and tools related to concrete manufacturing.

· Ensure all work areas are clean and safe from any potential hazards.

Requirements:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Minimum 3 years Lead/Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

· Ability to lead by example and build effective and organized teams.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills a must.

· Able to promote positive work ethic to all personnel and communicate in a positive manner with people from all levels and various backgrounds fostering a positive, team mentality.

· Ability to work in a factory environment and perform manual labor.

· Able to work under pressure, multi-task, meet strict deadlines and prioritize workload & capacity.

Preferences:

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel a plus

· Ability to read and perform mathematical calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals.

· Welding experience a plus with the ability to set and adjust welding machine settings to accommodate changing job requirements.

Compensation and Benefits:

· $30.00/hour plus based on experience
