Lighting Designer/Sales Associate
JOB SUMMARY
An Outdoor Lighting Perspectives Lighting Designer will design, demonstrate and sell low voltage lighting systems primarily during the evening hours. All sales leads are pre-qualified before a sales appointment is set. The expectations for closing rates are 65%-75%.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducting on-site lighting demonstrations at the customer's residence that take roughly 90 minutes each
Understanding and recognizing the value in the product and process that you are selling to the homeowner
Sitting down with the customer in their home to discuss our sales process; providing an overview of the company, re-qualifying the customer's needs and investment range, and setting up lighting design with a demonstration kit
Preparing a proposal for the design demonstrated and closing the sale
Re-visiting the customer within 3 days of install to perform a nighttime adjustment to ensure they're satisfied or to recommend additional lighting
Ability to conduct nighttime demonstrations at least 2-3 nights per week, including Fridays if necessary
Having a driver's license with a clean driving record (no moving violations or accidents in the last three years)
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Support in lead generation and customer loyalty programs
Obtaining referrals
Conducts customer needs analysis
Discusses features and benefits with customers
Designs lighting set up
Schedules follow up
Enters data into customer relationship management software
Communicates instructions to team
Door tagging
OTHER DUTIES MAYBE ASSIGNED TO MEET BUSINESS NEEDS
Assisting with home shows
Transporting marketing materials
Neighborhood marketing (hanging door tags), distributing flyers
Disposing of packaging materials
Speaking with the customer to up-sell other products
Provide customer with system orientation as applicable
Providing direction and/or assistance to other installers when applicable
Speaking with clients to inform and educate them about additional products and services available

High school diploma
Some sales experience preferred
