    Wonderly Lights is seeking a hands-on, field-experienced Outdoor Lighting Technical Manager to support our network of 25+ locations across the East Coast. Based in Virginia Beach, this role will help improve installation quality, field execution, troubleshooting, training standards, and technical support across architectural, landscape, permanent, and holiday lighting services.

    Responsibilities:

    Provide technical coaching and troubleshooting support to franchise owners, technicians, and internal team members

    Support landscape, permanent, and holiday lighting design and installation execution

    Diagnose field issues related to wiring, transformers, connections, controllers, materials, roofline systems, layout, and installation quality to reduce repeat visits

    Review photos, job details, and field conditions to help identify practical solutions

    Provide hands-on field training and installation support during training sessions, franchise support visits, and local Virginia Beach projects

    Develop installation training materials, field standards, and best practices

    Coordinate with vendors when product or installation issues require additional support

    Support the local Virginia Beach location as a field resource for job preparation, installation guidance, training, and troubleshooting

    Requirements:

    Demonstrated field experience in landscape lighting, low-voltage lighting, permanent lighting, holiday lighting, irrigation, exterior construction, or electrical-adjacent work

    Strong understanding of jobsite execution, wiring, transformers, connections, controllers, materials, and installation quality

    Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to coach and communicate technical information clearly and professionally

    Comfortable working with franchise owners, technicians, vendors, and internal team members

    Organized, proactive, and process-driven

    Comfortable working outdoors and in active job-site environments

    Valid driver’s license

    Willingness to travel periodically for franchise support, field training, and troubleshooting visits

    Preferred Experience:

    5+ years of outdoor lighting, low-voltage, landscape lighting, permanent lighting, irrigation, or exterior construction experience

    Experience training or coaching installers, technicians, or field teams

    Permanent lighting / RGB lighting system experience

    Low-voltage certification or electrical background

    Comfortable working on ladders and supporting roofline installation work

    Experience developing checklists, training materials, or field standards

    Additional Details:

    Full-time position

    Primarily weekday work, with occasional non-standard hours for service calls, troubleshooting, and nighttime lighting adjustments

    Some weekend work may be required during peak seasons

    Periodic travel to support franchise owners and field training needs
