The Tree Service Climber (foreman) must be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of the tree service work including:
Operating all equipment safely and efficiently
Driving and operating bucket trucks and bucket
Trimming trees correctly
Removing limbs and branches safely
Taking down trees safely
Stump grinding
Shipping, etc.
And interfacing with customers on an "as-needed" basis.
He or she requires minimal supervision and runs two to four-man crews in a safe manner while meeting all budgets and deadlines.
The Tree Service Climber (Foreman) who is a working foreman, must possess the following skill set and educational background:
Possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable on companies insurance policy
Legal documentation to verify employment and eligibility
Physically be able to handle the workload of a tree service climber or groundsman
Have full-range mobility in the upper and lower body
Able to lift 50 pounds without assistance
Able to interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner daily
Has a minimum of 5 years experience as a tree service climber (foreman)
Able to operate company equipment: skid steer, tracked loader, chain saws, bucket truck, chipper, stump grinder
Able to perform all daily preventative maintenance (PM) on company equipment
