Outdoor Voices is looking for an Accounting Intern to provide meaningful contributions to the accounting organization with an emphasis on both daily tasks and project-based work. 

Must be available to work at least 20+ hours a week. 

Responsibilities:

• Support the Accounting team in processing and recording all accounts payable transactions, observing OV's policies for payment of vendor invoices and staff reimbursements
• Reconcile vendor invoices to outstanding contracts and purchase orders and assist in resolving any discrepancies
• Perform month end close responsibilities including balance sheet reconciliations and month end accruals
• Analyze aging reports to resolve outstanding balances
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Review inventory transactions and help prepare monthly inventory roll-forwards
• Assist in reporting our monthly and quarterly financial results and variances
• Help prepare for the annual audit and ensure fulfillment of audit requests
• Support Ad hoc projects focusing on automation, optimization, and process improvement
• Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting (or related field)
• Available to work at least 20 hours per week
• Experience using accounting or bookkeeping software
• Knowledge of GAAP
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Google Apps  
• Experience with ERP systems, NetSuite is a plus
• Audit or inventory experience a plus
