    At Riverwood Center we have a team of caring and committed professionals providing a wide array of personalized services to individuals with behavioral health, intellectual & developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. Riverwood Center is located in beautiful Southwest Michigan with staff at seven sites across Berrien County. We are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and a member of Southwest Michigan Behavioral Health, Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards, and the National Council for Behavioral Health.

    EDUCATION:

    High School Diploma or equivalent.

    EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

    One or more years’ experience working in an office environment. Must have excellent computer and interpersonal skills, be punctual, organized, have the ability to multi-task, and work independently. Prefer experience working with adults or children with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities.

    Responsibilities:

    Welcomes consumers, families and visitors and maintains order in the lobby area.

    Checks in consumers, schedules and backfills appointments.

    Collects co-pays, financial and demographic information.

    Answers and transfers phone calls, maintains files, processes paperwork.

    Provides clerical support to the team.

    Qualifications:

    One or more years’ experience working in a medical office environment.

    Must have excellent computer and interpersonal skills, be punctual, organized, have the ability to multi-task, and work independently.

    Preferred candidates will have experience working with individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities.
