Role Overview & Leadership Summary
Digital Outreach, Social Media & SEO
* Manage and regularly update Creative Living's social media platforms, ensuring content is engaging, mission-aligned, and reflective of resident life, campus connections, events, and partnerships.
* Create, schedule, and publish short-form content (photos, reels, captions, basic graphics) that increases visibility, reach, and engagement.
* Support basic SEO efforts by optimizing website content, blog posts, and event pages to improve search visibility and awareness.
* Monitor engagement metrics and trends, providing basic insights to inform outreach priorities and content planning.
Volunteer Engagement, Campus & Community Connections
* Support volunteer recruitment and engagement efforts across multiple groups, including college students, student organizations, corporate volunteer teams, and individual community members.
* Serve as a welcoming and responsive point of contact for prospective volunteers, helping coordinate group and individual opportunities in collaboration with the Development Director and management team.
* Assist with organizing, scheduling, and communicating volunteer activities to ensure positive, inclusive, and well-coordinated experiences for both residents and volunteers.
* Support relationship-building with corporate and community volunteer partners to encourage repeat engagement and ongoing involvement.
Community Outreach & In-Kind Partnerships
* Identify and cultivate relationships with local businesses, corporate partners, and community organizations to secure in-kind donations for fundraising events.
* Conduct outreach throughout the Columbus metro area, including in-person visits, follow-up communications, and relationship maintenance.
* Represent Creative Living professionally and enthusiastically when engaging business owners, sponsors, and community partners.
* Coordinate in-kind donation logistics in collaboration with the Development Director and event teams.
Fundraising & Event Engagement Support
* Provide on-the-ground and logistical support for all Creative Living fundraising and community events.
* Assist with outreach-related components of campaigns, including social media promotion, volunteer coordination, and community engagement.
* Support newsletter content, graphic campaigns, and promotional efforts by contributing ideas, content, and execution support, under the direction of the Development Director.

Skills & Competencies
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, engaging, and professional presence.
* Comfort representing an organization in public, both in-person and online.
* Creativity and confidence in social media content creation and digital storytelling.
* Basic understanding of SEO, digital engagement, and analytics (or strong willingness to learn).
* Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple outreach efforts simultaneously.
* Self-directed, reliable, and comfortable working independently with appropriate guidance.
* Ability to build authentic relationships with volunteers, donors, and community partners.
* Proficiency with social media platforms and comfort using tools such as ChatGPT, Asana, and CRM systems.

Required Education & Preferred Experience
* Currently enrolled college student or recent graduate preferred.
* Coursework or experience in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, public relations, or a related field is a plus.
* Experience with social media management, outreach, or community engagement preferred.
* Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout the Columbus metro area required.

Job & Working Conditions
* Part-time, non-exempt position averaging approximately 15–20 hours per week.
* Primarily in-person role with flexibility in daily scheduling.
* Requires regular travel within the Columbus metro area; mileage reimbursed in accordance with Creative Living policy.
* Attendance at all major fundraising and community events is required.
* Standard office and community-based work environment.

Compensation
* Hourly rate: $18–$22 per hour, commensurate with experience.
* This is a part-time, non-exempt position classified as part of the Creative Living management team.
* Employer-sponsored health insurance is not provided for this position
* Eligible for prorated Paid Time Off in accordance with the Creative Living Employee Handbook for part-time management team members.
