    Job Summary:

    The Outreach Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to build relationships with targeted communities, stakeholders, and partners. This role focuses on increasing awareness, engagement, and participation in programs, services, or initiatives offered by the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute outreach strategies to engage target audiences and promote organizational initiatives.
    • Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, stakeholders, and key influencers.
    • Plan, coordinate, and attend outreach events, community meetings, and public forums.
    • Create and distribute marketing materials such as flyers, newsletters, and social media content.
    • Conduct presentations and informational sessions to raise awareness about services or programs.
    • Track and report outreach activities, engagement metrics, and outcomes to leadership.
    • Maintain a database of contacts, partnerships, and outreach efforts.
    • Collect feedback from the community to inform program improvement and development.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to align outreach efforts with organizational goals.

    Qualifications:

    • One year of experience in community outreach, public relations, or related work.
    • Must be willing to travel locally within Schenectady NY.
    • Strong interpersonal, public speaking, and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Comfortable engaging with diverse communities and stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working in a nonprofit, government, or community-based organization.
    • Bilingual or multilingual skills a plus.
    • Familiarity with CRM or outreach tracking tools.
