Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Outreach Support Specialist to provide comprehensive administrative, logistical, and community engagement support within a public transportation organization. This role supports outreach initiatives, public engagement activities, and departmental leadership by coordinating events, managing communications, and serving as a key liaison between the organization and the community.
The position requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting outreach operations and public-facing initiatives. The Outreach Support Specialist may coordinate outreach events, maintain stakeholder communications, assist with documentation and reporting, and collaborate across departments to ensure effective public engagement. Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible administrative or secretarial experience
- Experience providing administrative support to management, executives, or department leadership
- Advanced experience with multi-line phone systems, scheduling, and calendar management
- Strong experience with document preparation, data entry, filing systems, and records management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook; PowerPoint preferred)
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Experience supporting management or departmental leadership in coordinating projects, events, or community initiatives
- Strong experience with scheduling, calendar coordination, and event logistics
- Demonstrated experience interacting with the public, community partners, or stakeholders
Experience Preferences:
- Experience working in a government, public agency, or transportation-related environment
- Experience coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and taking meeting minutes
- Experience with procurement documentation, invoicing, or contract support
- Lead or supervisory experience over administrative or clerical staff
- Familiarity with enterprise systems or internal databases

Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
Education Preferences:
