    Position Summary

    We are seeking a passionate, organized, and creative Outreach and Events Intern to support our community engagement and event planning efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in nonprofit work, communications, event management, or community development. You will gain hands-on experience, expand your network, and directly contribute to our mission. This is an unpaid internship for up to 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate would be available to work during the Summer, Fall and Winter Semesters each year.

The organization provides cost-free, consistent, year-round activities that create meaningful shared experiences and joy-filled memories. A Kid Again is operating chapters in multiple states, growing and enrolling families, and providing support resources and connections to help families cope with the challenges of raising children with difficult medical journeys.     Responsibilities

    Outreach:

    • Assist in identifying and contacting potential community partners, donors, and volunteers
    • Help manage outreach campaigns via email, phone, and social media
    • Support the development of outreach materials (flyers, newsletters, social media posts)
    • Attend outreach events and represent the organization when appropriate

    Events:

    • Assist with planning, organizing, and executing virtual and in-person events
    • Support logistics such as venue coordination, registration, volunteer coordination, and follow-up
    • Help with day-of-event setup, guest services, and troubleshooting
    • Contribute to post-event evaluations and reports

    Social Media:

    • Assist with planning and managing public Instagram/Facebook accounts and private volunteer Facebook group
    • Create marketing items in Canva

    Position Qualifications

    • Interest in nonprofit work, community engagement, or event planning
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
    • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Docs; familiarity with Canva and/or social media platforms is a plus
    • Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends for events (if applicable)
