As Human Resources Associate you will provide a full range of administrative and organizational support for the People Operations team. This position will allow the well-organized and aggressive individual to play an integral role in the day-to-day coordination, management, and operational efficiency by providing administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry. Key responsibilities include obtaining, recording, forwarding, and explaining human resource information as well as ensuring compliance with any applicable regulations.
This a temporary __non-exempt hourly role from the Outside Interactive, Inc. office in Boulder, Colorado. This is a hybrid work in office in Boulder a few days per week with some work from home a day or two per week. This person must be located in the Boulder area for On-Site work. The HR Associate will report directly to the Head of HR Shared Services. Terms of temporary contract assignment will be starting in September, 2023 through end of March, 2024.
What You'll Do
- Play an active role in the onboarding of new employees, reviewing benefits and other programs, explaining policies, and ensuring all necessary enrollment paperwork is completed properly.
- Provides information by answering communications; referring special communications to the appropriate person.
- Maintains candidate records by maintaining applications, résumés, and applicant logs. Assists with recruitment and interview process as needed.
- Maintain employment records, employee data, contracts, and databases.
- Verifies candidates' background by contacting references and reviewing all background checks, escalating when necessary.
- Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions. Helps employees by explaining benefit programs.
- Curate weekly internal newsletter, communications plans, and bimonthly LinkedIn Learning Challenges
- Performs general administrative duties to the greater People Ops team.
- Pull reports from Shared Services systems to create reports and dashboards for leadership.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Maintains manager and employee confidence by keeping human resources information confidential.
- Accomplishes human resources and organization mission by completing related results as needed
What You'll Need to Succeed in this Role
- At least 2+ years experience in a Human Resources assistance or administrative position
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
- aPHR, PHR, or SHRM certification preferred but not required
- Quick learner, strong communication skills and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, time management skills, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, organize, and juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and at times stressful environment with proven ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
- Be deadline-driven, open to feedback and constructive criticism
- A positive can-do attitude and general willingness to “do what needs to be done.”
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, GSuite, HRIS systems, payroll software, applicant tracking systems, Smartsheets, slack, and lucid chart.
Positions that are located in Boulder, Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid an hourly rate of pay of $26.63 - $33.00 per hour.
