We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Outside Machinist to join our team at a dynamic and fast-paced shipyard. The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical repairs, alignments, installations, and maintenance on marine vessels and associated equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, align, and maintain shipboard mechanical equipment (pumps, valves, turbines, engines, etc.)

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics

• Use precision measuring tools and machining equipment

• Work in tight or confined spaces and at various heights

• Collaborate with other trades and departments to ensure timely project completion

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment

• Comply with all company, OSHA, and environmental safety standards

Requirements:

• Previous shipyard or maritime mechanical experience required

• Proficient with hand and power tools, micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools

• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and alignments

• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding environments

• Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.

• TWIC card, OSHA 10/30, and other safety certifications are a plus

• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or shift work as needed
