Our client is seeking a driven, results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to expand their commercial and industrial generator inspection services business. This role is ideal for a true hunter who thrives on developing new B2B relationships, generating leads, and closing service-based opportunities with facility managers, industrial operators, and commercial property teams. Candidates with generator industry experience or a background selling industrial/commercial equipment and service programs are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities for generator inspections, maintenance agreements, and related service offerings
Develop and maintain relationships with facility managers, property management groups, industrial operators, commercial contractors, and other key decision-makers
Conduct onsite visits to assess customer needs, gather technical information, and recommend service solutions
Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, including prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and lead follow-up
Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and service agreements in coordination with internal teams
Maintain accurate CRM records, activity tracking, and reporting
Collaborate with service and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery for new clients
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to grow brand presence
Provide market insights and feedback to support strategic decisions and sales initiatives
Requirements:
2 to 5 years of B2B sales experience; industrial or commercial equipment service sales preferred
Experience selling generator services, HVAC, electrical services, or other mechanical/equipment-based solutions is highly desirable
Proven track record of prospecting, cold outreach, and new business development (hunter mindset)
Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build long-term relationships
Ability to read, understand, and communicate basic technical information related to equipment inspections and service programs
Self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable operating independently
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
