Outside Sales Representative - Washington, DC
A leading company in the luxury home furnishings, textiles, and accessories market is seeking an experienced and dynamic Outside Sales Representative. This role plays a pivotal part in driving business growth and fostering strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales within the luxury or design sector and a passion for architecture, interiors, and creative environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting potential clients, attending industry events, and networking with key stakeholders.
Possess a deep understanding of the company's product offerings and effectively communicate value propositions tailored to architects, interior designers, contractors, and other design professionals.
Build and maintain long-term client relationships by offering exceptional customer service and personalized solutions.
Proactively anticipate client needs and provide support throughout the sales process.
Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product development, customer support) to ensure consistency in messaging and client service.
Gather market intelligence and client feedback to inform strategic business decisions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the luxury sector.
Proven and verifiable record of sales success through business development and growing client accounts.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
Experience using Salesforce or another CRM system is a plus.
Must be willing and able to travel throughout the territory to meet clients in person.
Able to lift and move up to 20 lbs.
Capable of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.
