Responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and achieving sales targets within an assigned territory. This role requires a proactive and results-driven individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prospecting and Lead Generation:
o Identify and research potential clients and leads within the assigned territory.
o Cold call, email, and use other methods to initiate contact with potential customers.
• Sales Presentations:
o Conduct product/service presentations to potential clients, showcasing the features and benefits.
o Customize sales pitches to address the specific needs of each client.
o Provide accurate and detailed information about the company's products or services.
• Relationship Building:
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
o Act as the main point of contact for clients and address any concerns or issues promptly.
o Regularly check in with clients to understand their evolving needs and preferences.
• Sales Negotiation and Closing:
o Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements.
o Work to overcome objections and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
o Prepare and present proposals and contracts to clients.
• Market Intelligence:
o Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
o Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams on customer preferences and market demands.
• Reporting and Documentation:
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales calls, and closed deals.
o Prepare regular reports on sales performance and submit them to the regional sales manager.
• Sales Support:
o Backfill Inside Sales position during vacations & illness to ensure seamless support of customer base.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Proven experience in outside sales or a related field.
• Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school or equivalent GED certification.
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Outside Sales Representatives often need to travel extensively within their assigned territory to meet with clients, attend meetings, and visit prospects. This can involve driving long distances, flying, or other modes of transportation.
• If the sales territory is geographically large, significant time may be spent driving to different locations. This can involve sitting for extended periods and may include navigating through various traffic conditions.
• During client meetings, presentations, or industry events, Outside Sales Representatives may need to stand or walk for extended periods.

EMPLOYEE EVALUATION SUMMARY
Employee will be evaluated on quantitative productivity levels regarding amount of sales that result from actions, number of items processed/followed-up and related activity.
• The employee will also be evaluated according to customer satisfaction levels as identified by customers through our survey system and other feedback mechanisms. In addition to regular coaching, employee will receive the following written evaluations:
• Introductory Review -- Will be written at approximately 80 days after employment and will be used to determine whether employee has sufficiently met and performed the job requirements, and will indicate whether employment will continue
• Annual Reviews – Employee will be given a formal regular annual review, which assesses productivity and demonstrated business skills and accomplishments for the previous period.
WORK SCHEDULE
The work hours will be established between the manager and employee based on the scheduling and coverage needs of the company. Time off will be granted with proper formal notice in accordance with company policy.
