TAC Auction Services is seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative whose primary responsibility is securing equipment, vehicle, and asset consignments for auction. This role is relationship-driven and ideal for a self-motivated salesperson who enjoys being in the field, building connections, and closing deals.
The successful candidate will actively source consignments by calling on businesses, fleet owners, contractors, dealers, municipalities, and individuals with assets suitable for auction.
Primary Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and secure consignments for TAC auctions
Build and maintain strong relationships with consignors and industry contacts
Prospect through in-person visits, phone calls, referrals, and networking
Evaluate assets and work with internal teams on pricing, marketing, and auction placement
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly consignment targets
Represent TAC professionally in the field, at job sites, and industry events
Maintain accurate activity and pipeline tracking in the company CRM
Coordinate with operations staff to ensure smooth intake and sale of consigned assets
What We’re Looking For
Proven outside sales, business development, or consignment experience
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Comfortable cold calling, prospecting, and visiting job sites
Knowledge of vehicles, heavy equipment, transportation, construction, or agriculture assets is a strong plus
Professional appearance and communication skills
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Willingness to travel within assigned territory
Basic computer and CRM skills
Prior auction or heavy equipment sales experience preferred but not required
Schedule
Flexible schedule with significant time in the field
Auction-day or event attendance.
