About the Role
Are you an automotive parts pro who’d rather be out building relationships in the community than stuck behind a counter all day? NAPA Auto Parts is looking for a driven, knowledgeable Outside Sales Representative to grow our commercial business in the field.
In this role, you’ll be the face of our company — connecting with shop owners and technicians, managing and growing a book of accounts, and sharing your passion for the automotive industry every single day. A company vehicle is provided so you can hit the road and make an impact from day one.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Manage and grow a portfolio of assigned commercial accounts
• Visit repair shops and automotive businesses daily to build long-term relationships
• Prospect and develop new business accounts in your territory
• Recommend the right automotive parts, tools, and shop supplies based on customer needs
• Promote new products, programs, and specials to current and potential customers
• Identify customer needs, problems, and growth potential
• Collaborate with store managers and upper management to share market intelligence
• Attend regular sales meetings and training sessions to keep product knowledge sharp
• Travel between store locations and customer sites as needed (some overnight travel may be required depending on territory)
What You’ll Need
• 3–5 years of experience in automotive parts, aftermarket, or a related industry
• Prior sales, account management, or counter experience
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter mentality with professional follow-up and follow-through
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus at some locations
Day-to-Day Environment
This is an active, field-based role. Expect to be on the move daily — visiting customers, working with a tablet and phone, and doing occasional light-to-moderate lifting. It’s a flexible 40-hour work week with a Monday–Friday schedule.
Compensation
Base pay starts at $18.00–$25.00 per hour depending on experience, plus monthly commission. Company vehicle is provided for all business travel.
