Outside Sales Representative – Industrial MRO (Troy, NY)
About Us Fix Supply is a nationwide distributor of Industrial MRO products, providing high-quality supplies and services to a broad range of customers across the U.S. We offer a true “one-stop shop” experience with more than 150,000 products, including raw materials, fasteners, lubricants, power transmission components, and more.
While much of our business is driven through our e-commerce platform at FixSupply.com, we are expanding our outside sales presence in key regions to strengthen our customer relationships and local service capabilities.
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative (OSR) to drive business growth within a defined geographic territory. The OSR will focus on new business development, account management, and sales execution, representing Fix Supply to customers across the region. This role offers high autonomy, strong internal support, and uncapped commission potential.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and outbound outreach.
Visit customer sites to understand needs, demonstrate value, and build long-term relationships.
Manage existing accounts, ensuring strong customer service and follow-through on all requests.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to support successful deal closure.
Collaborate with inside sales, customer service, purchasing, and operations to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
Partner with marketing and product teams to align on promotions and customer messaging.
Track pipeline activity, maintain CRM data, and achieve sales targets.
Requirements
Proven success in Industrial MRO sales or related industry.
Knowledge of one or more relevant product categories (e.g., Power Transmission, Fasteners, Electrical, Fluid Power).
Strong prospecting and negotiation skills; self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Existing book of business a plus, but not required.
Ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
