Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Expected Salary Range $60k-$90k (based on exp); Expected Total Comp $110k with commission
Responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and achieving sales targets within an assigned territory. This role requires a proactive and results-driven individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prospecting and Lead Generation:
o Identify and research potential clients and leads within the assigned territory.
o Cold call, email, and use other methods to initiate contact with potential customers.
o Attend industry events and networking functions to build a strong pipeline of prospects.
Sales Presentations:
o Conduct product/service presentations to potential clients, showcasing the features and benefits.
o Customize sales pitches to address the specific needs of each client.
o Provide accurate and detailed information about the company's products or services.
Relationship Building:
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
o Act as the main point of contact for clients and address any concerns or issues promptly.
o Regularly check in with clients to understand their evolving needs and preferences.
Sales Negotiation and Closing:
o Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements.
o Work to overcome objections and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
o Prepare and present proposals and contracts to clients.
Market Intelligence:
o Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
o Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams on customer preferences and market demands.
Reporting and Documentation:
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales calls, and closed deals.
o Prepare regular reports on sales performance and submit them to the regional sales manager.
The ideal candidate has experience calling on electrical contractors as either a distributor or manufacturing rep.
May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned.
**KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED **
o Strong Computer proficiency
o Proficiency using e-mail, the internet, Microsoft Office, and other computer tools
o Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
o Goal-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
QUALIFICATIONS
o Proven experience in outside sales or a related field.
o Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
o Willingness to travel within the assigned territory up to 1-2 days a week.
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE **
o High school or equivalent GED certification.
o Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
