Job Title: Outside Sales Representative
Location: Near St. Louis, MO (Remote within region)
Territory: Midwest (MO + surrounding states)
Overview
We are partnering with a well-established industrial manufacturing company near St. Louis that specializes in custom-engineered metal components and profiles used across construction and building applications.
This role is focused on developing new business by working directly with customers who require custom-designed parts and production capabilities. The position is ideal for someone who understands how to sell a manufacturing process, not just a standard product.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction and building sectors
- Develop relationships with contractors, fabricators, OEMs, and distributors
- Engage customers to understand project requirements and present custom manufacturing solutions
- Work closely with internal engineering and production teams to support design and feasibility discussions
- Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing, and close new business
- Manage territory travel to meet with prospective and existing customers
- Maintain accurate pipeline activity, forecasts, and customer records
- Represent the company at industry events and trade shows

What They’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience selling within a specialized metal manufacturing environment
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in custom profile-based or process-driven sales
- Proven ability to generate new business (hunter mindset)
- Comfortable discussing technical requirements with customers and internal teams
- Experience selling into construction, building products, or related industries
- Ability to manage a multi-state territory with regular travel
Compensation
- Base salary: $60K – $220K+ (dependent on experience)
- Uncapped commission structure
- Full benefits package

- This is a true new business role — not an account management position
- Candidates should be located in Missouri or a neighboring state with the ability to travel into the region regularly
