Job Summary Bayou Safety, a leading provider of safety training and equipment in the industrial sector, is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This role is focused on inbound and outbound communication, lead development, and customer engagement from our office. Candidates with safety experience or familiarity with industrial environments are strongly encouraged to apply.
This position will play a key role in supporting business growth by managing customer accounts, handling incoming inquiries, reaching out to potential clients, and organizing lead and customer data. This position is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a solutions-focused mindset, and an interest in helping customers find the right safety solutions.
Responsibilities • Build rapport and maintain relationships with new and existing customers through phone, email, and other channels • Respond to inbound inquiries and proactively follow up on leads to convert them into sales opportunities • Track and update customer and lead interactions using internal tools • Understand client needs and recommend appropriate services or equipment • Coordinate with outside sales and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery • Provide ongoing support to customers by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and offering product knowledge • Stay informed on industry trends, product updates, and safety solutions relevant to our clients
Qualifications • High school diploma/GED required • 3 to 7 years’ experience in inside sales, customer relations, or account management • Experience in or exposure to the industrial sector preferred • Familiarity with safety (fall protection) is a plus • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Strong organizational habits and follow-through • Self-starter with a team-oriented attitude
