Position Summary: A Work Order Specialist in solar operations is responsible for creating, managing, and tracking work orders to ensure the efficient scheduling and completion of warranty/damage claims, maintenance, and service tasks. This role involves close coordination with field technicians, project managers, and supply chain teams to ensure all job details are accurate, materials are available, and timelines are met. The specialist monitors project progress, resolves discrepancies, and updates internal systems to maintain workflow transparency and operational efficiency. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and familiarity with project coordination are essential.
Essential Duties:
Execute daily tasks and rotate follow-ups on assigned projects
Manage queue assignments effectively
Communicate with customers, contractors, and field employees regularly
Minimum Qualifications:
Customer Service Experience
Sales or Negotiating Experience (negotiating small quotes and settlements)
Coordination or Clerical Experience
Project management Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Regular periods of sitting or standing may be required by this position. In addition, this position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
