    Job Description

    The primary objective of the position is to be the subject matter expert for technology in scope, and execute efficient and effective operational IT process that adapt to the dynamics of the business. Deliver all operational services to meet expectations as measured by service level agreements, key performance indicators, and best practices in IT architecture, IT security, GxP compliance, and IT production operations support.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Implement and maintain the day to day operations of back end infrastructure including Cisco switches, Fortinet Firewalls, Nimble Storage, Dell servers, and Avaya telephone systems.
    • Serve as the SCCM subject matter expert and system owner for all system management responsibilities including, but not limited to, desktop imaging, application packaging and deployment, Windows and 3rd party patch management, software and hardware asset reporting, and related infrastructure upgrades.
    • Support the full Office 365 suite including Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
    • Execute work in alignment with IT service level agreements, SOPs, key performance indicators. Incorporate best practices from IT architecture, IT security, GxP compliance, and IT production operations support procedures into work outcomes.
    • For technologies in scope, actively monitor and take pro-active/preventative action on IT security, GxP and regulatory compliance. Identify and manage risk related to systems nearing end of life or maximum capacity.
    • Execute GxP and non-GxP change / release management processes. Execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans for technologies in scope.
    • Assist supervisor in planning for the infrastructure based on global business requirements, one IT function and IT strategies.
    • Manages the benchmarking, analysis and recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems. Build business case and technology rationale for new systems.
    • Plan, lead and deliver project work, and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

     

    Required Skills and Experience

    • 10+ years in an IT function
    • 6+ years managing IT infrastructure systems and applications
    • 5+ years Office 365 administration- Exchange, SharePoint, Skpe, OneDrive
    • 5+ years Active Directory, Group policy administration
    • 5+ years VMware experience
    • 5+ years storage administration
    • 5+ years SCCM administration
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or Engineering preferred
    • Strong ability to collaborate with various IT roles across the globe
    • Must be able to operate in a global operation and support environment

     

    Additional Skills

    • SQL DBA experience
    • Cisco Network administration experience
    • AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure experience
    • Linux, Unix experience
    • Disaster recovery and planning experience
    • IT project management experience
    • Global IT experience
    • Previous mid-sized pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience
    • Advanced certifications in Networking, Storage, SCCM, SharePoint, and/or VMware are highly desirable
