The General Manager reports to the corporate Owner-Team and is responsible for the overall management and administration of the daily operations of the OverCool LLC. The General Manager is further responsible for the successful implementation of the annual strategic plan developed in cooperation with the Owner-Team. The General Manager derives his/her responsibility base and authority from the Owner-Team, and is the senior corporate employee.

Job-related contact can occur with virtually all demographic groups, with the majority of daily customer contacts being with Department Managers. Representative duties include:
Taking part in the development of the annual corporate budget (with the Owner-Team, and internal and external accountants) and the annual corporate strategic plan (with the Owner-Team).
Managing the corporate annual budget upon approval.
Providing monthly reports to the President and Treasurer/Controller on the implementation of the corporate strategic plan and the annual budget.
Maintaining formal and informal communication with the Owner-Team on all matters that affect the annual strategic plan, budget, and major corporate policy and procedures that are reserved for control by the Owner-Team.
Training and education of designated senior employees in the fields of management, leadership, administration and supervisory skills.
Approving all candidates for hiring or termination.
Managing all Department Managers and their activities, and directing them in meeting their departmental goals (as provided in the strategic corporate plan) and budgetary targets and projections (as provided in the annual corporate budget).
Consulting with Department Managers on employee training needs and providing recommendations to the President for approval.
Representing the Owner-Team at civic, professional, governmental, and social activities, as directed.
Providing annual performance appraisals for all Department Managers and employees reporting directly to the General Manager.
Developing a company-wide safety policies and procedures program, and training programs to be administered as required by OSHA.
Performing related management-level duties as directed by the Owner-Team.
Job Qualifications:
B.S. in business management or engineering, advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of five years’ experience in managing an HVACR contracting business or building-related services.
Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong management skills in accomplishing an aggressive growth agenda while guaranteeing state-of-the-art and cost-effective customer service, and a for-profit agenda.
Ability to minimize business risks and maximize windows of opportunity to help OverCool LLC prosper.
Understanding of the principles of Quality Improvement Process and effective implementation of quality control measures within all departments.
Understanding and ability to implement all applicable federal, state, and local government laws and regulations.
Experience in marketing and sales of HVACR or building service equipment, systems and services.
In-depth understanding of, and experience in, economic, marketplace and political trends as they affect the HVACR contracting industry.
Current (state) driver’s license and the ability to drive all types of vehicles in the corporate fleet within six months of employment. Incumbent must be insurable by OverCool LLC insurance carrier.
In-depth understanding of, and experience in implementation of OSHA's safety policies and procedures, and training requirements.
Be bondable, and able to visit company job-sites on a frequent basis.
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software and technology, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
