In this meaningful role, you will provide overnight care, supervision, and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure our residents remain safe, comfortable, cared for, and supported throughout the night.
Overnight caregiving is about more than simply being present. You will be responsible for responding to residents’ needs as they arise, providing personal care and assistance when needed, monitoring safety, maintaining a calm and supportive environment, and communicating important information to the day team.

What You’ll Do
Provide attentive overnight supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of residents throughout the shift
Assist residents with any care needs that arise during the night, including personal care, toileting, hygiene, repositioning, and other activities of daily living
Respond appropriately to residents who wake during the night and provide reassurance, comfort, and support
Assist with medications and other care responsibilities as directed by the resident’s individualized care plan and applicable training
Monitor residents for changes in behavior, health, or well-being and report concerns promptly
Follow individualized care plans, safety plans, and established residential procedures
Maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and supportive home environment
Complete required overnight checks, documentation, shift notes, and incident reports accurately and timely
Prepare the home and residents for the upcoming day as needed
Communicate important information and changes to the incoming staff at shift change
Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established crisis and emergency procedures
Maintain confidentiality and respect each resident’s dignity, privacy, and personal choices
Work as part of a team to provide consistent, person-centered care
What You Bring
High school diploma or GED
Previous caregiving, direct support, or human services experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right person
Compassion, patience, dependability, and a genuine desire to help others
Ability to remain alert, attentive, and responsive throughout an overnight shift
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to follow individualized care plans, policies, and safety procedures
Ability to work independently while also communicating effectively with the care team
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
Ability to pass a background check
CPR/First Aid and Medication Certification — training provided
Valid driver’s license with reliable, insured, and registered transportation
