Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Overnight Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality medical care to our animal patients during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the condition of animals under your care and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Assist veterinarians during medical and surgical procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment.
- Provide compassionate and effective communication with pet owners regarding their pets' health and treatment plans.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic's facilities and equipment.
- Be available for emergency and critical care situations as they arise.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or hold an equivalent certification.
- Prior experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital preferred.
- Strong understanding of veterinary terminology and medical practices.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively with a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to animal care.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
