About the Role:
North Georgia Angel House Inc is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Overnight Teen Girl Direct Care Worker to join our team in Canton, GA. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of teenage girls by providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing overnight environment. Responsibilities:
Provide direct supervision and overnight care for teenage girls in a residential setting
General cleaning of common areas
Administer Medication
Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all residents throughout the overnight shift
Respond to resident needs, concerns, and crisis situations with calm and professionalism
Enforce house rules, routines, and behavioral guidelines in a consistent and compassionate manner
Document incidents, behaviors, and observations accurately in resident logs and reports
Conduct regular room checks and monitor the facility throughout the night
Collaborate with day staff and supervisors to ensure continuity of care during shift transitions
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred
Prior experience in youth care, residential care, or a related human services role preferred
Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout overnight shifts
Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills
Genuine empathy and patience when working with at-risk or trauma-affected youth
Must pass a background check and meet all state licensing requirements
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
