PURPOSE OF POSITION
A coordinator Inspires, Empower and Enrich the lives of students. The In-School Coordinator will successfully implement and manage program components that lead to positive outcomes for the children/youth that participate in the OYC Program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Maintains the maximum number of participants enrolled in the OYC program and monitors regular attendance.
Ø Provide case coordination services (information, plan referral and linkages) as needed
Ø Develop and maintain student file according to OYC standards (assessments, Individual Success Plans, Progress Notes, etc.)
Ø Coordinate services with other professionals and paraprofessionals
Ø Ensure attendance and other data is submitted in a timely manner.
Ø Act as a liaison with the schools that we service.
Ø Chaperon after school outings and exposure trips to students as needed
Ø Participate in the quality improvement process
Ø Participate in weekly case staffing.
Ø Assist with the development and implementation of curriculum and special projects.
Ø Develop and maintain a safe, supportive and fun learning environment in which students thrive.
Ø Actively participate in staff development workshops and trainings that are designed to contribute to personal and professional growth.

Ø Ability to work effectively with persons of all ages and diverse backgrounds, skills and abilities
Ø Ability to write significant case notes
Ø Attendance and Punctuality
Ø Ability to observe and report accurately on the functioning of individuals & families
Ø Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
Ø Ability to carry out responsibilities with flexibility to adapt to changing needs and goals
Ø Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ø Positive and team- oriented attitude.
Ø Ability to set appropriate limits and boundaries with adults/ students
Ø Ability to work flexible hours as required
Ø Ability to act decisively when necessary to protect the students/youth
Ø Ability to work weekends as needed
REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma
At least 3 to 5 years’ experience working with youth programs required
Basic computer skills / Microsoft Office
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Must pass drug screening and Level 2 background fingerprint
