Owl Labs is seeking an experienced Revenue Accounting Manager as we continue to grow our Accounting team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a hyper growth start-up at an early stage. As the Revenue Accounting Manager, you will manage various accounting functions including revenue recognition, accounts receivable, credit and collections. You will develop, evaluate and improve accounting processes in accordance with GAAP and applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate enjoys rolling up their sleeves, jumping into the details, and being a team player in a fast-paced environment. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of revenue and revenue-related accounts under ASC 606.
• Review customer contracts to ensure compliance with ASC 606 and system requirements.
• Ensure that CRM billing data and General Ledger data are aligned.
• Perform month-end processes and reconciliations for Revenue, Deferred Revenue, and A/R accounts on a timely basis.
• Manage the order to cash cycle, ensuring adherence to company revenue policies and GAAP.
• Draft comprehensive policies to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Assist in providing audit support for revenue related transactions.
• Inspire and motivate team members while translating business goals into priorities and individual performance measures aligned with goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s / Master’s in Accounting.
• 5+ years strong industry experience in revenue accounting. 
• Thorough understanding of and ability to apply ASC 606 required.
• Mix of Big 4 and industry experience preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, and CPQ tools preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain accounting topics in an understandable and simplified manner.
• Enjoys working in an agile, fast-paced, rapidly evolving, startup environment. Ability to wear multiple hats.
• Energetic can-do attitude and excellent leadership skills. Collaboration is exciting to you and you enjoy understanding the perspectives of others. 
• Independent, self-starter - able to set agenda and drive progress with little direction.
• Superior organization & attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and synthesize multiple perspectives to get the most important thing done.

Owl Labs is over 40% remote and headquarters are based in Boston, MA. This role can be either an on-site or remote position. Please specify in your application. Our team is currently working 100% remote due to COVID-19.
