    Job Description

    This position is a union position based out of our Boston office. While employees will have flexibility to work from home or in the office, we are limited to applicants who will reside in MA, CT, ME, NH, NY, RI and VT.

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:  The Project Manager is responsible for managing department-level and cross-functional projects to ensure effective delivery within established budgets and timeline, negotiating with stakeholders and making key decisions affecting scope and resources, and will support the team in building and maintaining effective project management practices. This role will focus on externally facing multichannel communications and engagement products for major and midlevel donors, as well as initiatives that support the Individual Giving team (IGET) to develop effective operations in support of its donor pipeline building, engagement, and retention goals. 

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • In collaboration with Direct Marketing, IGET Director, Gift Officers, Program staff, and external consultants, project manages major donor and prospect direct marketing deliverables, including development of strategy, cadence, content development and audience selection; coordinates with Digital Engagement on major donor e-community strategy development and execution
    • Project manages the development and delivery of time-bound communications and engagement for major and midlevel donors, in collaboration with audience owners: webinars, events and donor engagement opportunities; appeals; reports; and engagement materials; executes in-house marketing of engagement opportunities using Hubspot
    • Explores, identifies, makes recommendations for, and executes continuous improvement projects to increase effectiveness and efficiency of Individual Giving and Engagement staff and team operations, with a particular emphasis on improving functionality and adoption of existing tools such as Hubspot and Salesforce, as well as identifying and socializing new tools; owns team training processes related to use of tools 
    • Project manages IGET processes related to team planning, progress reporting, learning, and contributions to division plans and strategic priorities
    • Collaborates with VP, Resource Development and Development Officer to manage the digital and virtual logistics for the annual Leadership Council meeting, co-create meeting agenda and support session content creation
    • Engages with Constituent Product Team, Sr. Prospect Researcher, and external consultants to develop reporting systems to support major donor moves management, analysis of donor trends, and revenue tracking
    • Oversees efforts to maintain and improve management and collection systems of donor data and giving history in CRM, in conjunction with Donor Relations team, Constituent Product Team, and Philanthropy Officers, including development of quality control measures to ensure accuracy and consistency of information entered by staff for reporting, gift acknowledgement and revenue tracking purposes

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
    • At least three years of progressively responsible project management experience and proven success leading diverse, multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project objectives
    • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to quickly absorb, understand, analyze, and summarize detailed information about aspects of projects across multiple disciplines
    • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
    • A curious, resourceful, and proactive approach to understanding issues and problem solving
    • Strong learning mindset and ability to understand, apply and teach new concepts and processes to others
    • Expertise and comfort with agile, waterfall, hybrid, and other project management methodologies and tools
    • Proficiency with Hubspot, Salesforce, or similar constituent relationship management and communication tools

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience working in an international development or social justice organization.

    Additional Information

    Salary Grade - Boston Union F 

    Boston Union Grade F Salary Range - $58,600 - $84,970 - commensurate with experience
