DIGITAL X-RAY TECHNICIAN LEVEL II NAS410

SALARY INFO: $25 - $32 / HR

*** Produce and interpret Digital Radiographs of castings using Computed Radiography (CR) for aerospace and defense markets.

*** Learn other operations or technologies such as Visual, Fluorescent Penetrant, or other NDT methods.

$25-$32 an hour (based on certification and experience), including Ten to Fifteen Dollars an hour in benefits such as: **

DESCRIPTION:

• Read and interpret indications and evaluate them per applicable documents and standards

• Organize and report test results

• Operate radiography equipment

• Oversee calibration of CR equipment

• Create techniques and inspection method documents

• Assure product is properly processed to the applicable method sheets

• Keep area clean and adhere to safety procedures

• Meet efficiency standards

• Understand, follow, and implement ISO 9001 and AS 9100 systems and procedures

• Initiate continuous improvement and Participate in continuous improvement efforts

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

REQUIRMENTS:

• Digital X-Ray Level 1 NAS410 (400 hours OJT and 40 classroom course hours) or Level 1 - ASNT (210 hours OJT and 12 classroom course hours)
• Level 2 NAS410 (1200 hours OJT and 80 classroom course hours) preferred.
• Familiarity with casting and welding defects
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attendance and work ethic

• Blueprint Reading
• Quality inspection
• ISO 9001
