    Oxford Economics, a leading global economic research and consultancy firm, is looking to hire a Business Development Executive to join our Consultancy Business Development Team in New York. This person will be responsible for inside sales, lead generation, setting-up of initial meetings and assisting the business development team in overall activities to grow the territory. In addition to directly supporting with sales-related administration, this person will also be responsible for some client account management of existing clients.

    This position is an integral part of Oxford's growth plans for the Americas and is an exciting opportunity for a driven and highly motivated individual to join a fast-growing company at the forefront of the industry.

    The key responsibilities within this role are as follows:

    Sales and Client Management

    •  Develop targeted outreach campaigns—identify key companies and prospects across North America; key individuals and teams within each organization; and support the Business Development team in establishing relationships with these prospects
    •  Consistently research industry and policy news; ability to connect relevant trends with research needs and Oxford Economics' consulting capabilities across a range of organizations and conduct outreach
    •  Collaborate with the consulting team on the development of proposals, presentations
    •  Organize and attend internal meetings and events with staff to develop proposals, presentations and external client meetings
    •  Send out sales materials to prospective clients and help follow up on outstanding contracts
    •  Assist in organizing sales meetings and calls, preparing agendas for the BD team for business trips as well as helping coordinate key events across the region
    •  Develop a strong knowledge of the consulting services and become proficient at articulating and showcasing these services
    •  Management and upkeep of Salesforce records, implementing new opportunities and contracts
    •  Prepare weekly sales reports to be shared with senior management and monthly competitive set analyses
    •  Maintain SharePoint—proposals, presentations, product sheets

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED

    • University degree required, ideally within a relevant field (economics, business, finance, marketing, policy)
    • 1+ years' experience in business development, sales administration, customer service, or client account management, preferably in custom content or consulting industry
    • An interest in economics, global trends, and current affairs
    • Ability to make calls/generate meetings across various industries
    • Strong interpersonal, communication (written, oral, presentation) skills
    • Detail oriented and highly organized
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Strong oral and writing skills
    • Thrives in a competitive climate; ability to meet and exceed outreach and key KPIs (e.g. x calls/emails per week)
    • Works well both in an individual and collaborative setting
    • Software experience: Microsoft Suite, Salesforce
