TITLE: ECONOMIST

Tourism Economics is a subsidiary of Oxford Economics dedicated to analytically based consulting to the tourism sector. Oxford Economics is one of the world's leading economics consultancies, providing advice to international institutions, governments and blue-chip companies.

We are seeking to appoint a high-caliber economist or analyst to help lead our expanding team, to be primarily based in our Wayne, PA (USA) office.

The focus of this role will be to participate in developing custom consultancy work for clients, including regular deliverables as well as one-off studies. Some contribution to Tourism Economics regular subscription output will also be expected. Main responsibilities are described below.

• Manage existing client relationships
• Meet client needs in producing custom reports. Understand client needs and devise the best approach to provide solutions. Custom studies include economic impact, policy, and thought leadership reports covering different aspects of the travel sector.
• One-off consultancy work involves both written reports as well as more quantitative analysis. For example, this can include innovative estimation of the importance of elements of online content; estimation of future accommodation capacity requirements within a city; or the impact of tax policy changes.
• Outline the best approach to team members including allocating research tasks; detailing report structure; or calculation methodology.

Qualifications sought:

• Experience in economic impact studies, data analysis, and/or econometric forecasting
• Undergraduate or (preferred) graduate level economics degree
• Excellent quantitative and writing skills
