  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for a motivated Oyster Shucker to join our team! You will be accurately & efficiently preparing oysters for raw and cooked consumption while maintaining a clean, safe and sanitary work area. You will be responsible for ensuring the Oyster bar is prepared based on established procedures while providing fast, accurate shucking. The Oyster Bar is centrally located in the dining room of the restaurant. Interaction with guests and a positive attitude will be a large part of your responsibility. Must know details of the oysters we are serving daily; harvest area, size, etc.

    Responsibilities:

    Provide fast, accurate shucking of oysters

    Cleans & prepares shellfish for serving to customers

    Restock all items throughout each shift

    Ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored and safely used

    Follow all relevant health department rules and regulations

    Stores oyster tags as manger requests

    Routinely use sinks, shuck knives, chain-mesh gloves, and oyster cleaning stations

    Position requires standing, bending, lifting, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time

    Qualifications:

    Friendly customer focus

    Great guest communication

    Organizational skills

    Time & stress management

    Two years experience required

    ServeSafe Certification, or willing to obtain

    Must be able to carry supplies (30-50 lbs)
