    Summary:

    We are currently looking for a Warehouse Associate/Customer Service Representative. You will work cooperatively with outside sales, customer service, and other members of the distribution team to grow existing customers, create new customers and meet or exceed monthly sales quotas at the appropriate gross margin while increasing customer satisfaction.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    · Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications

    · Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers’ profitability profiles

    · Accurately process customer transactions such as orders or returns

    · Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items

    · Obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery

    · Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability

    · Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items

    · Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed

    · Remain current on consumer preferences, changes in local codes and product developments through vendor training and reading trade journals or other means made available my management

    · Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the sales, customer service and management team

    · Communicate to management unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products due to large orders or pending quotes

    · Assist in scheduled physical inventory counts

    · Maintain proficiency in using personal computer, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software

    · Follow company policies and procedures

    · Check in/Ship out stock/orders; including verifying what we received and putting inventory in it's proper place.

    · Report to management any delayed shipments to our warehouse.

    · Perform other duties as assigned

    Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as requested. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.

    Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

    Computer Skills : To perform this job successfully, an individual should be capable of being trained to operate a computer including the software necessary for the duties of the job. In addition, the ability to use and operate standard office equipment, such as a copier, fax machine, etc. and other duties listed in the earlier list of job duties if applicable.

    Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear and regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally be able to lift up to 50 pounds and will rarely lift and/or move up to 100 or more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    Travel: There may be some travel associated with this position as it relates to vendor training, trade shows, sales meetings or other programs management feels is beneficial to your professional growth.
