The IT Director is responsible for all Information Technology. The role will be responsible for road-mapping, implementing and maintaining technology in support of P. Terry’s growth plan. It will require expertise in systems and LAN/WAN network administration, retail networks, telecom management, development, software and hardware deployment, IaaS, SaaS, reporting, managing service providers and overall technology needs of the business.
Responsibilities and Duties
Establish and manage the implementation and operation of enterprise technology-related programs that meet company goals and objectives. Coordinates the processes necessary to manage company’s current activities and its projected growth. Approves project schedules and delivery.
Develops and implements business continuity and disaster recovery protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss
Establishes efficiency standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure
Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs
Ensures the Data Network and Telecom performance and maintenance comply with the practice requirements, system efficiency, integrity and security.
Functions as the Information Security Officer, overseeing security of electronic communication and storage systems, networks, and enterprise information
Organizes and manages technical project plans in accordance with the strategic plans of the Chief
Executive Officer and other senior leaders of the organization
Communicates effectively in order to provide optimal support of all departments and to promote a professional climate throughout the organization
Facilitates IT security audits and investigations
Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers
Establish and maintain IT Operations ITIL processes including but not limited to change management
Leads and manages QA/UAT testing functions
Analyzes workflows and provides recommendations to streamline processes, data collection, and improve automation
Prepares financial budgets and presents proposals for capital projects to senior leadership
Implement zero trust network and system architecture
Responsible for system and development architecture
Establishes and maintains internal and external support organization ensuring timely delivery of repairs and reports to stores and management
Hires and trains IT staff
Responsible for all aspects of the company information technology/information enterprise, including planning, design, implementation, evaluation and budget
Coordinates the development of technology and electronic use policy including information security, disaster recovery, and related issues. Responsible for compliance oversight
Evaluates existing and new IT technology - makes recommendations to the leadership team regarding IT technology and related expenditures
Translates company business requirements into technical designs/specifications
Qualifications/Required Experience
College degree in IT-related field
10+ years directing an IT department for a retail company
Retail / Point of Sale Software experience is required
Credit Card Terminals/Payment Processing experience is required

Demonstrated proficiency with Windows Server is preferred
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 is preferred
Willingness and flexibility to support other roles in the organization as needed during the start-up phase of the operation
Practical Knowledge of Information Security standards and policies like ISO 27001/27002, NIST, and others
Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required
Ability to effectively communicate and interact with peers and coworkers

Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
