    P3 Recruiting is in search of a construction professional possessing the skills and knowledge to estimate, coordinate, schedule, plan and project manage multiple projects of multiple value and ensure that they are completed within budget. Most projects are hard bids, but some are negotiated. Excellent communication skills are required to communicate with all company personnel. Candidate must have strengths to communicate, negotiate, and build relationships with customers (owners, GC’s, MEP’s, and other industry professionals), vendors and subcontractors. Candidate will report to the President/COO or other Company operations & sales leadership.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and grow 2 Project Managers, 2 Project Superintendents, and 40-75 field craftspeople.
    • Estimating from inception – plan take off, bid work sheets, labor, materials, subcontractors, vendors and equipment
    • Strategic Plan & Business plans as necessary to grow the Civil Group in STL and to other locales as you may plan or be directed.
    • Marketing and Sales of the Civil Group and the Company.
    • Participate in industry groups and associations for networking, knowledge growth, marketing, and maintaining position.
    • Manage labor – union contracts, hiring, motivation, task assignment, and group assignment.
    • Project manage work that you successfully estimate. Have the ability and determination to assign projects to other project managers and employees.
    • Derive, assemble and track schedules on multiple projects
    • Technical knowledge and the ability to discover / share so that superintendents and field employees have the knowledge to comply with standards, plans and specs
    • Safety – Continue and implement safety, group safety, safety plans, OSHA compliance, JSA development; Work together with Safety Director to implement and create a safety culture for the Civil Group.
    • Monitor projects to ensure labor and other costs items are within budget
    • Report to President or others the Civil Group progress in terms of financials, schedule, completion, percent complete, labor complete, budgeting, and concerns/successes
    • Attend pre-construction, during construction, progress, and industry meetings.
    • Communicate effectively with all people within our organization
    • Equipment budgeting, leasing, and procurement.
    • Travel as needed & directed
    • Plus - ability to find work and build off of existing contacts/customers; create new contacts/customers; networking & entrepreneurial skills to develop work

    • Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Timberline, Primavera & TimberScan)
    • College Degree and 5-10 years of civil construction experience.
    • Proven Leader, Dependable (punctual & team player), Self Starter & Ability to Contend with Multiple Responsibilities
    • Experience in company-wide management working with all departments such as sales, accounting, and administration.
