Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse for a per diem assignment in Golden, CO. This role supports adult orthopedic and pain management procedures requiring Phase I recovery following general anesthesia. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, detail-oriented, and able to provide safe, efficient post-anesthesia care.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients recovering from general anesthesia in Phase I PACU

• Assess airway patency, hemodynamic stability, pain control, and neurological status

• Administer medications and interventions per PACU protocols

• Identify and respond promptly to post-anesthesia complications

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards

• Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and perioperative staff

• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and readiness for transfer or discharge

Requirements

• Active Colorado RN License

• BLS and ACLS Certifications

• PACU RN Skills Assessment

• Background Check

• Colorado Adult Protective Services Clearance

• Valid Driver’s License

• Current Tuberculosis Screening
