    Health Fitness has a great opportunity for a part-time (20 hrs / week) NAIL TECHNICIAN at our client site located in Beaumont, TX. In this position, you will be required to have a license through the Texas State Board of Cosmetology for nail technicians. You will be responsible for specializing in nail grooming including nail cleaning, cutting, and polishing of the fingernails and toenails while observing sanitation and safety practices. You must keep up to date with the latest nail products, techniques and trends. 

     

     

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

     

    PRIMARY:

    • Performing nail, hand, and foot services while observing sanitation and safety practices.
    • Basic and spa manicures and pedicures.
    • Shellac application/removal.
    • Artificial nails and fills.
    • Hand and arm/foot and leg massage.
    • Hot oil therapy and paraffin treatments.
    • Nail repair and wraps.
    • Nail polish including French polish.
    • Must keep pedicure chair logs for every client.
    • Keep nail room up to cleaning standards.

     

    SECONDARY:

    • Performs facility maintenance responsibilities as needed; ensures facility, equipment, and restrooms are clean and stocked at all times. Ensures personal and spa appearance meet standards.
    • Verifies equipment is operating properly and immediately reports any potentially unsafe conditions.
    • Maintains client files/database.
    • Projects and other duties as assigned by the Spa Supervisor.

     

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS: 

     

    • High school diploma/GED required.
    • Nail technician License through Texas State Board of Cosmetology required.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Technician must be motivated and be able to work independently as well as with others.
    • Possess a professional appearance and a professional attitude.

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications

    •B.A./B.S. or equivalent in communications, marketing, journalism or related field

    •3 to 5 years of relevant experience in social media and content marketing

    •Deep understanding of Facebook Business Manager and techniques and strategies for paid promotion on major social platforms.

    •Thorough knowledge of social media platforms, key metrics and reporting. Familiarity with social listening and Sprinklr an important plus.

    •Exceptional organization and time management skills.

    •Superior oral and written communication skills.

    •Excellent interpersonal skills.

    •Ability to foster positive relationships with colleagues in Marketing & Communications and faculty and staff university-wide.

    •Strong interest in emerging technologies and the new media landscape.

    •Understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practices. Familiarity with SEO software a plus.

    •Ability to demonstrate how social campaigns deliver impact to broader University and marketing objectives.
