    PATH began its work in India in the late 1990s, bringing governments, communities, private-sector companies, and experienced public health practitioners together to address some of the country’s most crucial health problems. In early 2000, the scope of our India program expanded with a major immunization initiative for the state of Andhra Pradesh. Today, PATH’s India projects focus on TB, immunization, HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, injection safety, maternal health, Innovation Labs, and more.

     

    PATH is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter, and enthusiastic interns to work with and will be supporting on Hepatitis-C (HCV) and HIV project related activities.

     

    INTERN: RESEARCH AND DOCUMENTATION

     

    DESCRIPTION OF THE LEARNING OBJECTIVES AND GOALS OF THE INTERNSHIP

    • Understand implementation plan by supporting the development of plans of HCV & HIV projects.
    • Learn about development and use of research tools (quantitative and qualitative)
    • Learn about development data analysis plan (quantitative and qualitative) and different types of technical documentation.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE ONE OR MANY, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, OF THE FOLLOWING:

    • Support, develop and assist in finalizing implementation plans, including but not limited to, Knowledge management, communication, sensitization and study implementation.
    • Support the team in finalizing the study tools (quantitative & qualitative).
    • Support and assist for webinars.
    • Attend and prepare meeting minutes for all project related meetings.
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, for various study related meetings.
    • Support and contribute to development of training materials, standard operating procedures (SOP), and other technical documents in coordination with the supervisor.
    • Facilitate and support the field team on data collection
    • Support supervisot on data analysis and finalize the findings.
    • Assist in development of monthly and quarterly report.
    • Assist and contribute to development of various technical documents from the HCVST study.
    • Attend all team and external meetings and represent PATH when requested.
    • Conduct and assist in literature review as and when required by supervisor.
    • Assist and contribute to development of various technical documents from the HCVST study.

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

     

    • Completed Bachelor’s/Master’s degree at a reputed graduate school. Fresh graduates in management or public health are encouraged to apply.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a complex environment.
    • Comfort with collaborating across all levels of leadership internally.
    • Basic research and analytical skills (qualitative and quantitative).
    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure settings.
    • Excellent command over MS Office Applications, especially MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
    • Excellent in written and spoken English.
    • Preference for Hindi or any one North-East Indian languages.
    • Must have legal authorization to work in India.
