    OVERVIEW: Management Science Associates, Inc. (MSA) is a diversified information management company that for over half a century has given market leaders the competitive edge in data management, analytics and technology. We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join MSA’s Corporate Projects division which works in a variety of exciting domains including government communication, law enforcement, special tax management, and retail support.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Designing and developing new and existing applications primarily in the C# language on .NET that are tightly integrated with relational database technologies
    • Support, maintain, and upgrade legacy systems to latest technologies
    • Help maintain and enhance existing mobile applications using .NET Xamarin/MAUI
    • Independently work on all SDLC phases
    • Help maintain and grow CI/CD processes
    • Provide quality software development, working closely with Tech Leads and Project Management
    • Research technologies to determine upgrade/migration paths and impacts to current frameworks
    • Participate in user interface design

    Required Skills

    • Requires a four-year degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
    • Minimum five years of experience in systems analysis and programming, addressing unique issues of architecture and data management
    • Must be able to begin working at the highest technical level of all phases of systems analysis and programming activity across the full scope of software development lifecycle
    • C#, .NET Framework and .NET 6+, with a focus on website development using MVC and Webforms
    • Experience at programmatically interfacing with a relational database management system. Preferably SQL Server or Oracle
    • Knowledge of GIT or other version control
    • Strong communication and technical skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a remote setting
    • Ability to learn new technologies and development patterns
    • Experience with .NET Xamarin/MAUI is a plus
    • Experience with Azure DevOps and build/release automation is a plus
    • Experience with AWS is a plus
