    SUMMARY:  We are looking for a Part-Time Premium Support Specialist.   In this position, you will be maintaining financial responsibility for premium payments, reconciling accounts and communicating with groups as needed. Based on review of payment information, you will also be processing terminations and reinstatements of groups, processing refunds, collecting past-due funds, producing prescription reports and calculating advances and payments due as needed.

     

    This position will be 20 hrs. per week and hours will be either 8-12:00 pm or 9-1:00 pm M-F.  This position will initially be in our Lake Forest office, but after training, may have the potential to be a hybrid position with working remotely and in the office as long as business needs are being met.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

     

    • Process premium payments in core administration platform. Review group records and communicate with groups when discrepancies exist. Review daily lockbox report to ensure checks are applied correctly.
    • Process group level terminations and reinstatements in a timely manner. This includes sending appropriate letters, issuing refunds to groups, running prescription reports, determining if advances are due and collecting payments due in a timely manner.   Sending to Recovery when not successful
    • Monitor group surplus status and refund, collect or move monies as appropriate.
    • Other duties as needed/assigned.

     

     

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

     

    • Two-four years of related experience required.
    • Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of basic accounting required.
    • Prior experience working in accounting, banking or billing a plus.
    • Must be detail oriented.
    • Must be familiar with MS Office suite of applications including MS Excel, Word and Access.
    • Experience with entry level financial accounting systems preferred.
    • Experience with MS Teams or similar technology preferred.
    • Experience with Workday a plus.
