    HealthFitness is in the midst of a business transformation and we have an exciting new leadership opening for a PRODUCT LEADER. This key individual will lead our Product function and be responsible for developing, implementing and stewarding a product lifecycle framework that aligns with the vision and strategic plan. The framework translates market needs into offerings, measurable business plans and product roadmaps to support company strategic and financial targets.

     

    In this role, you will be the Product leader across the product portfolio and be responsible for overseeing product performance and aligning with strategy. This position will drive collaboration and alignment with all key team members to lead the innovation agenda, using our people-powered delivery of services and digital capabilities, and develop executable product line business plans. Success in this role will be based on the ability to develop and lead a strong, aligned product vision and business plan tied to strategic, business, and financial targets.

     

    THIS POSITION CAN SIT ANYWHERE IN THE US AND BE ENTIRELY VIRTUAL/REMOTE/WORK FROM HOME WITH OCCASIONAL TRAVEL REQUIRED IN THE FUTURE. 

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    PRODUCT INNOVATION AND EVOLUTION

    • Maintain the overall product vision for our entire suite of product families in alignment with the business strategic plan.
    • Overall ownership, alignment and delivery commitment of internal and client-facing roadmaps for all of our product families.
    • Develop a deep understanding of the business drivers for our markets – profitability, pricing, services mix, sales channels, etc.
    • Use market and consumer intelligence, market segmentation, market sizing and persona definitions, and collaborate with key internal partners to ensure our products and services meet market demand and demonstrate value to our customers.
    • Examine new and emerging technologies and channels on an ongoing basis.

     

    STRATEGY & BUSINESS EXECUTION

    • Develop and execute product & business growth strategies for all product families.
    • Lead the product family suite strategy including influencing build, buy and partner decisions.
    • Participate in due diligence for acquisitions and executing acquisition integration.
    • Build and maintain strong internal and external partnerships across all levels of the organization.
    • Partner with business/finance leadership on the oversight and monitoring of financial and qualitative product performance.
    • Map company strategy and business objectives to the product roadmap.

     

    PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT DISCIPLINE

    • Apply consistent product development methods and processes across product families.
    • Lead the development, deployment and enforcement of the end-to-end product lifecycle.
    • Coordinate cross-product integration, and maintain a broader vision for the product line.
    • Establish goals and handle product scorecards and product line reviews.
    • Establish and drive effective launch and ongoing development of all products.
    • Establish expectations and thresholds for quality, operations and service performance of products.
    • Direct pricing philosophy and market approach; monitor key product portfolio utilization, satisfaction, and financial measures.

     

    TEAM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT

    • Lead and run the product organization.
    • Align and develop team to deliver on product objectives; create a high-performing product development, innovation and management environment.
    • Develop or acquire needed product proficiencies for the product team.
    • Work cross-functionally to establish and inform of product disciplines and standards.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Strong intellectual curiosity
    • Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience including 5+ years of product leadership experience
    • 2+ years’ experience working directly with digital products.
    • Experience in the fitness, wellness and/or employee benefits industry strongly preferred.  
    • Demonstrated success in developing and leading products from concept to launch across the entire product lifecycle.
    • Proven record of achieving results and leading across a matrixed organization.
    • Strong business modeling and financial management acumen. 
    • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to identify underlying market and customer needs and translate those needs into product and service solutions.
    • Ability to travel from time to time, including overnight stays.
