    PATH is seeking a consultant to support the gathering and compilation of HR employment related documentation in Nigeria as we establish our presence in Nigeria.  The consultant will be tasked with gathering relevant documentation and providing templates and guides related to general employment and HR requirements.

     

    ACTIVITIES

     

    • Ensure that all the employment related HR documents and templates needed are in place and aligned with the legal requirements in Nigeria
    • Guarantee the alignment of the deliverables with the principles, best practices, and procedures relevant to Human Resources Management in Nigeria
    • Identify all necessary HR steps for setting up a people function in Nigeria
    • Identify all necessary actions in terms of immigration, taxation, social security, legal advice, secondment and employment benefits in Nigeria
    • Works independently and contributes to moderately complex aspects of the project, while ensuring optimal utilization of available resources
    • Comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations and policies related to HR

    IDEAL PROFILE

     

    • Knowledge of the principles, best practices, and procedures relevant to Human Resources Management in Nigeria
    • Has supported or worked on HR matters at initial set up stage
    • Understanding of People Advisory Global Services (Immigration, Consultants, Taxation, Social Security, Legal counsel, Seconded and benefits)
    • Good in process documentation and taking ownership of deliverables
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Track record of working and communicating effectively with multiple stakeholders
    • Proven success applying cross-cultural sensitivity, knowledge and skill working with people of diverse backgrounds

     

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

     

    • HR Professional with master’s degree (or equivalent) with proven experience conducting HR related reviews and analysis. Experience in an INGO set up is preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate among diverse stakeholders to obtain and gather information (i.e., with the project team, external stakeholders)
    • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with ability to meet deadlines
    • Excellent knowledge of Nigeria’s Labour market, laws and regulations
    • Fluency in spoken and written English
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
