HealthFitness has exciting opportunities for part time (10 hrs/wk) FACILITY SUPERVISORS with our new client Babson College located approximately 15 miles west of Boston in Wellesley, MA.  Babson College has recently opened a new modern, multi-use recreation and athletic center.  The new center nearly doubles the size of Babson’s previous facility, improves the quality and quantity of available fitness equipment and strengthens the overall experience for Babson students, faculty & staff and local community.  The new 75,000sqft addition features:

• A large, two-story fitness and recreation area with state-of-the-art cardio equipment and weight room
• Multipurpose studio spaces for yoga, dance, and aerobics classes
• Dedicated varsity locker rooms, expanded sports medicine area, and an advanced strength, cardio, and conditioning area for varsity sports teams
• Three courts for recreational sports
• Improved locker room facilities for all students
• Large, flexible space to host major college events in any season

In this position, you will be responsible for serving as a key point of contact for all internal and external user groups, providing facility supervision during events, contests and during normal daily operations, maintaining a clean and neat facility and responding to incidents and accidents. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides on-site event support, general facility supervision and conducts routine rounds throughout facility and fields. Serves as a key point of contact for internal and external engagers. Responds to incidents and accidents while completing appropriate forms and follow up. Responsible for conducting facility opening and closing procedures.
• Maintains inventory of toiletries and cleaning supplies. Conducts routine housekeeping of locker rooms, changing and grooming areas: maintains a clean locker and shower facility, ensures adequate toiletries are on hand, neatly arranges and replenishes toiletry supplies in grooming and shower area.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• CPR & First Aid certifications from either American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred.
• Prior related experience preferred.
• Good written and communications skills required.

QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree preferably in a content area included in Metropolitan College’s undergraduate portfolio, be qualified to design and teach core undergraduate-level courses, and have five or more years of experience in related academic management, planning, or coordination.
