    PATH is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter, and an enthusiastic INTERN - MONITORING, EVALUATION AND LEARNING (MEL) 

     

     

    DESCRIPTION OF OVERALL LEARNING OBJECTIVES AND GOALS FOR THE INTERNSHIP/BENEFIT TO THE INTERN:

     

     

    The Intern will get hands-on experience on how Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) activities are conducted in Public Health programmes.She/he will be able to develop sound understanding of ideal Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks, programme monitoring tools and techniques, theory of change, logframe, performance indicators, performance monitoring and evaluation.The intern will also get to observe the real life situations pertaining to the use of adaptive management. The intern will also get the opportunity to observe the process of development of proposals in response to call for RFPs and the coordination mechanism between different professionals.

     

     

    INTERNSHIP DURATION - 3 Months ( Start Date - 15 March, 2021 )

     

     

    THE INTERN WILL BE PART OF ALL THE MONITORING, EVALUATION AND LEARNING (MEL) RELATED DISCUSSIONS/ TASKS AND WILL BE INVOLVED IN THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES.

     

     

    • Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) activities for different on-going projects.
    • Editing and formatting the MEL sections of the proposals being developed.
    • Literature review, scientific writing and Editing.
    • Developing and updating Monitoring & Evaluation training materials.
    • Developing a repository of list of indicators along with references for different Public Health programmes.

     

     

    SKILLS TO BE DEVELOPED AND/OR EXPANDED DURING INTERNSHIP:

     

     

    It is expected that by the end of the Internship, the Intern will be able to explain the rationale for having a sound MEL system in place. She/he will be able to demonstrate how a logframe is developed and what are the key properties of the indicators. The intern will also be able to demonstrate how to carry out literature search and reference them while developing concept notes.

     

     

     

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

     

    • Graduate / Post graduate Degree in Medicine or allied fields (MBBS- Preferred / BDS / MPH / MSW / MHA).
    • Candidates pursuing MBBS/ BDS (final professional) can also apply with a Letter of Reference from the faculty.
    • Have experience of working in the Health system and understanding of Public Health System in India.
    • Understanding of Public Health issues.
    • Experience in review of scientific literature.
    • Computer literate with working knowledge of MS office package.
    • A self-starter having attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage deadlines required and flexibility to accommodate to changing situations and priorities.
